Number One CWE Realtors Paul and Amy Mittelstadt Sell Another Wexford Condo

Amy and I just represented the Buyer in the purchase of 4570 Laclede Avenue, #106 at the Wexford Condominium. The sale price was $347,000. Before I met Amy, I had lived at the Wexford for 14 years, and had served on the Board of Managers for 6 of those years. During those years, I was fortunate enough to have handled the sales of over 70 Wexford units (there are 72 in the entire complex)! Needless to say, I’m very knowledgeable about the property. So I was thrilled to have been able to represent one more buyer at the Wexford.

What Amy and I love about the Central West End is the ability to walk everywhere, for work, fun, shopping and dining. The location of the Wexford complex makes it one of the most desirable condo properties in the CWE, only one block from beautiful Forest Park, and only one block from the Washington University Medical Center. When Amy and I lived on both Laclede Avenue and West Pine Court, we loved dining at the charming corner restaurants: Wildflower, Einstein’s, Rasoi, and Little Saigon. We also adored Chez Leon and Moxy, both of which have now been replaced by Brasserie by Niche and Taste. I remember back to my earliest years at the Wexford when the space now occupied by Brasserie was Martin’s Variety Store. And the space now filled by Taste was the Life Uniform Company! The CWE has made some progress over the years.

Here is a description of the unit at 4570 Laclede, #106, as excerpted from the listing as it appeared in the Multiple Listing Service (MARIS):
If you are wanting a new, walking lifestyle, this CWE condo might be what you would love. It has a 1 car parking underground space, #29, two storage lockers with one on the same floor as the condo and one in the parking garage. In 2011 it was painted, with new appliances, new carpet and other updates. Located on the first floor at the back of the building, this charming garden unit enjoys a private patio in a park like setting. There are two bedrooms with a study, two full bathrooms, plus the complex has an in-ground pool with cabana, which are delightful in the summer. The living room and study have a see-through gas fireplace, and the solarium can be used as a family room. The building is walking distance to BJC, Wash U Medical Center, restaurants, dry cleaners, movie theatre, Metrolink, highways, Forest Park and museums. The new Whole Foods is one block away, with Shake Shack (from NYC) coming in 2017-18 on the same corner.

If you would enjoy moving to the Central West End, be sure to contact Amy or me. We are genuine ambassadors for the neighborhood, and we love to provide buyers with inside tips and ideas about what to do and enjoy in our CWE. We look forward to hearing from you!
